Narón is the eighth city in Galicia with a population that has already surpassed 40,000 inhabitants. The residents are distributed among the six neighborhoods that make up the urban center and the seven parishes in the rural area. Located in the Terra de Trasancos of A Coruña, Narón has a 66.2 km² extension, and its environment gives this territory the characteristics of an oceanic climate, mild and with non-extreme temperatures.

Narón’s location in the northwest of Galicia has historically made access from other parts of the country difficult. Currently, the municipality has connections with the AP-9 highway and the A-64 Ferrol-Vilalba highway. The possibility of options such as the coastal train and the proximity of the airports of A Coruña and Santiago make our city council a well-communicated destination.
